REMARKS:

HOW CAN WE DESIGN A BETTER WORLD THAT BALANCES THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE WITH THE NEEDS OF THE PLANET?

Co-presented by BODW City Programme (CityProg) and What Design Can Do (WDCD), this exhibition features 13 winning projects of WDCD’s Make It Circular Challenge competition and 5 selected circular design projects from Hong Kong and the Mainland.

WDCD, based in Amsterdam, is an international organisation that seeks to accelerate the transition to a sustainable, fair and just society using the power of design. Organised by WDCD in partnership with the IKEA Foundation, the Make It Circular Challenge has the goal of finding and supporting the most promising circular innovations and enterprises from all over the globe.

This exhibition is a Satellite Event of CityProg 2023, a citywide creative business and clusters empowerment programme initiated by Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC). Taken the theme ‘Game Changers’ with a focus on ‘Circular Design’, CityProg 2023 sparks more than 100 design-driven happenings around the city, peaking from 23 November to 3 December.
