REMARKS:

Construction industry is currently responsible for 39% of energy related carbon emissions. 11% embodied carbon related emissions and 28% operational carbon related emissions call for urgent measures for reducing emissions by both these components, in order to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

The role of low carbon high-performance architecture in decarbonizing the construction sector is unanimously acknowledged.
Projects that demonstrate validated outcomes are leading the way.

Creating a platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration and innovation, this conference gathers experts from the UK, Australia and Hong Kong to share their experiences and challenges.

The discussion will cover topics that addresses adaptive re-use projects, technological advancements and cutting edge research based on projects in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and the UK.

Let’s take forward these invaluable efforts and lessons to combat climate change and its impacts. Nine speakers will share their presentations followed by two sessions of panel discussions and Q&A.

The audience consists of architects, engineers, construction industry professionals, government officials and developers to contribute to the discussion.
