Gilles Vanderstocken (1974) is a Belgian architect based in Hong Kong since 2012. For more than 20 years, he has been involved in a large range of projects addressing the various aspects of architecture, urban planning and facade design. His understanding of both conceptual and practical aspects allows him to envision architecture as a whole. In 2014, he co-founded his office, BEAU Architects with his wife, Charlotte Lafont-Hugo. For the last ten years, he has been teaching the BA (Hons) Environment and Interior Design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design. Finally, he led, together with Charlotte Lafont-Hugo, a M.Arch studio on adaptive reuse at Hong Kong University (Faculty of Architecture).
